This is a start-up project and the team from L and T infotech is working with the clients, Nordea Liv and Pensions situated in Denmark. They are 1 of the largest insurance companies in Denmark. The LOP system is the mainframe system which forms the backbone for many systems. The team from L and T works on maintaining the LOP system by suggesting changes to the existing system for improved performance or changing business requirements, enhancements for various business needs, documentation to share the knowledge and for future references.
Responsibilities :
As a project lead, I had be a technical guide to the team and ensure that the team interactions with the clients and the work assignments are carried out in a structured manner.
Was involved in the requirements meeting with the clients \users\technical leads in the requirements gathering stage, are involved in estimations for some of the sizeable assignments, coding and unit testing \integration testing.

Have initated documentation of all requirements and business logic involved in various assignments as a learning process for the L and T team and as a useful reference for the client.

Weekly status reports was sent to update the clients and reporting managers in India about the status of assignments and track the pending issues.
Was responsible for providing technical guidance to the set up offshore team and acquaint them with the processes followed by client, transition of knowledge gained so far by the team.

This team is responsible for processing of real estate information county wise. The real estate data about a county is received in the form tape files and using these files as input, the data is modified after extensive analysis is done. The modified data is updated to the mainframe database which is used by other systems. Work would involve 60% of analysis and 40% of development work using Natural/adabas as the programming language.

Responsibilities : are working as a Team Lead and was sent to Florida for an advanced training related to the real estate domain.

Responsibilities include looking in the team s issues, provide technical guidance, training for the new joiners domain and technical training, status reporting to the US managers.

The Cincomm conversion project aims at converting all the applications that are not using Natural/Adabas. The modules coded in COBOL-XT would be converted to Natural.

The modules using calls to TOTAL files would be converted to use ADABAS files. The purpose being improve maintainability of the applications and have them in sync with the other developed applications whose modules are using Natural and Adabas.

Description :
The Asset Management System AMS supports the third-party logistics services offered by the Customized Logistics Services organization of North American Van Lines. It is a mainframe based, inventory management solution. It is portable internationally and available on-line to our external customer s via a CompuServe connection, Internet or other Value Added Networks VAN worldwide.

The objective of the system is to track products and valued assets on an individual piece level. AMS was designed to be customer specific, with the ability to be customized for individual data elements. AMS is designed to give both global and local views of customer s product and assist in movement information.

Responsibilities :
Was involved in effort estimation and analysis of the various projects assigned.
Followed by coding, Unit Testing and Integration testing. Ensured that all deliveries are made in time adhering to quality standards.

American Consolidation Services ACS , having its head quarters at Oakland , California , USA is involved in the cargo consolidation business and it has operations worldwide . The scope of the work for ACSA is Application Enhancement and Support .
ACS123 ERM
ACS123 is a re-engineered solution to some APL s Old legacy Applications . The Old Applications include ACSA , IIS , RRS etc ..
This particular Edit Rule manager Project is primarily to enable all the ACS123 Applications do Dynamic and Run time application of Business Rules based on the Customer profile . These Edits were performed in all the In-Bound and Out-Bound Applications that receive and transmit in and out of the ACS123 System .
All System Edits and Business Rules for various Customers were collated from the Older Applications . Then , an Edit Rule Repository was designed for capturing all these Rules . Several front end Transactions were developed to tabulate and maintain such Customer Rules .
With the Rules now setup , all the ACS123 Operations Programs would invoke calls to a run-time Rule application Module RAM that would apply specific Edits for that Customer if any . The Calling Programs would pass all the elements , their values and the corresponding Customer account code to the Rule Application Module for Rule application .
