Description :
Louis Dreyfus is into energy trading and is active in international merchandising and trading of crude oil and petroleum products, natural gas, petrochemicals and plastic resins. The company is engaged in buying, selling, marketing and trading energy products, electricity, natural gas and other fossil fuels in the deregulating European markets.

The project is a Data warehousing project where the workflows are being developed in Informatica and the database is Oracle. This project deals with capturing the weather and pricing data that is provided by different source systems and storing them in the local data warehouse.

The jobs are scheduled using Shell scripts and Tidal Enterprise Scheduler.

The Top Elements Phase 2B was an extension to the initial phase with new elements being added inorder to support other applications. The application comprises of a set of tables and program used for extracting, transforming and loading data elements out of Global Structured Record Layout GSRL XML documents stored in DDR database in Top Elements table. Data is extracted, transformed and loaded into the TE table twice every day by the TE Extraction Module. TE data is queried using the TE Lookup modules or queried directly by ad hoc users.

Data Maintenance is a project where the existing D and B data was being maintained. It had different modules like Data Verification, Data Change, Data Fill and Data Conflict.
Data Verification : The existing D and B data was being verified with the current date stamp
Data Change : The existing records were being changed with new data if a deviation was found
Data Fill : Any new data was being filled up to make it a complete record.
Data Conflict : Any conflict in the records was being sent to the conflict resolution team for resolution.

The Data Maintenance project was a rule based testing project with the input being a flat file from various sources like Amacai, NCOA etc and the final output being updated in the Oracle relational database after going through different processing.

Description :
Unassailable Identity Data - Data Verification Phase I was 1 of the essential projects in 100% resolution initiative. Key objective of the Data Verification project was to verify key data elements in existing business records. The output of the data verification process will flow to AOS and to the DUNSRight Data Repository.
Data Verification was the first application for using the IE for record maintenance to validate key identity data elements to improve overall data freshness. Data freshness is calculated by measuring the gap between the last time we verified a piece of information and the current date. For example, the average data freshness of the US DMI file as of December 06 is 15.5 months which is driven by our ability to confirm information on a business via a telephone call.

DDR is a critical component of D and B s 100% Resolution Program. This consolidation initiative will result in consolidation of 2 Oracle 9i databases into 1 single Oracle 10g database called DDR.
The DDR is the system of record for the single best view of customer business data and will include associated customer business history information and information about the various sources of the single best view.
