Data mining consultant

Consultant on all the data mining projects identified by SPE Marketing group to understand the customer base and identify trends in the realm of usable data resources.

Conducted a knowledge discovery study to characterize the Attendance and Purchasing behavior of members to generate geographic, demographic and membership profiles based on meeting/conference attendance and technical disciplines of membership. Identified data resources and enhanced data quality to fit the needs of the analysis.

Developed profiles of all members of SPE to understand Meeting Attendance behavior across SPE specific segmented regions and also in each SPE region to understand member s travel patterns.

Conducted email tracking and success rate study to measure Email Broadcast campaign success, deliverability and measure marketing response for each of the campaigns. Number of emails, percentage of who opens, forwards and clicks-through were the metrics collected to conduct this study. The above metrics were analyzed and merged with the member profile data and also the attendance and purchasing data to understand the overall profiles of the members.

Environment : Base SAS 9.1, SPE Membership databases in Oracle.

Performance Analyst

Countrywide Financial Corporation Plano , TX
Worked as a consulting analyst hired to identify key performance metrics and measure the performance of the web application.

Performance monitoring
o Identified key performance Metrics for Performance monitoring from the test results of the application testing scenarios by researching each of the access database which is a result of each test case scenario.
Data Warehousing
o Developed a Data Model to warehouse the performance testing data in SQL Server 2000.
o Developed ETL process to import the data from the access databases resulting from the test scenarios using the Data Transformation Services in SQL Server 2000.
Performance reporting
o Performed descriptive statistics to understand the utilization to response-times relationship.

Environment : Base SAS v 9.2, Mercury Load runner Software testing tool, SQL Server 2000 and Access 2000.

Quantitative Market Research
o Performed Correlation of Customer Satisfaction data with data from the existing database and observing correlations of various variables from both overlay analysis using SAS.
o Validating the existing customer satisfaction survey model by observing the Canonical correlations among and between the variables to observe the model fit.
o Observing and selecting variables that correlate well with Overall satisfaction ratings by using Stepwise Regression analysis to understand the dependency of Customer Loyalty on Overall Satisfaction.
Data mining and developing descriptive models from the Customer database.
o Analysis on various segments of the Customer populations using SAS to understand overall customer behavior.
Developed Lifetime value models for 1 segment of the database to get Customer Lifetime Value.

Developed Customer profiles and Survival data mining observing survival and Cox proportional hazard estimates and life table estimates to understand the customer lapse rates.
Responsible for querying the data out of databases using SQL in Access interfaces.

PROJECT : Pre-harvest Prediction of Wheat yield.

Provided statistical design and analysis experience. The goal of this project was to develop statistical models to forecast yield of wheat grain based on analysis of agronomic and geographical conditions.
Techniques like multiple regression, multivariate analysis MANOVA, correlation and paired-t test procedures were used to explore and identify best-fit models that can predict wheat yield.
Best fit model selection was performed using backward elimination and forward propagation procedures.
Designed an Access Database to gather data required to analyze Wheat yields in different

PROJECT : Drought Resistance of Perennial Rye grass cultivars
Responsible for design, implementation and management and analyzing the results.

This project investigated the stress physiology of Perennial Rye grass cultivars used on golf course fairways. Critical survival responses leaf moisture, root length density, % viable area were analyzed using Analysis of Variance and correlations were determined with environmental factors air temperature, soil temperature and moisture and amount of precipitation
