Client/Server prescription pricing.
I utilized both MQ and stored procedures in designing and creating CICS programs as servers, in a client/server environment, to interface with workstation clients. The CICS programs supplied prescription pricing information to pharmacies. They supplied schedules of a drug s pricing history for use by pharmacies and auditors. The schedules were generated from server-side DB2 tables and VSAM files.

Formulary eligibility for third-party claims.
Implemented CICS drug copay functionality into a formulary system as part of on-line screen presentations to pharmacies. Also, applied maintenance for a CICS/DB2 system that advised the availability of drugs, as per participating plans, to pharmacies. All programs were implemented in an environment of minimal supervision with needed information obtained by self-initiated contacts with management and users.

Integrated Drug CWS System.
Part of a 3 - person team which designed and created an experimental CICS-to-Web Support system CWS, supplying data processing communication abilities between users on the internet and a CICS mainframe region which used DB2 tables. Responsible for a major rewrite of a unique municipal courts ticket and criminal CICS/DB2/VSAM system to enable interfacing with the State of New Jersey's Administration of the Court's System in compliance with state regulations.

Interviewed state personnel and analyzed state court system to determine all its required information and from what on-line screens the information originated. Analyzed Commercial Data Processing's private court system to find all differences between it and the state system. Consulted with private management and municipal users to determine how to change the private system to be able to operate in a co-operative manner with the state system and to be able to transmit the privately-entered data to the state system so as to maintain compatible parallel systems with enforced data integrity. This system was the only private system in New Jersey that was allowed to process tickets outside the state system .I documented the private system and trained users.

I worked independently as the CICS/DB2/VSAM programmer analyst on this project enlisting a consultant to help meet time deadlines.
