EDS-Medical is 1 of the major health insurance providers. It offers various services like Inpatient, outpatient, LTC claims and cross over. National provider Identifier NPI is the huge integration implementation in EDS. EDS is integrating its multiple, heterogeneous systems in various platforms. TIBCO is chosen as the integration platform and TIBCO tools and technologies are leveraged to achieve the integration goals in EDS.
NPI project is for Integration Services to provide an interface necessary for routing and transforming data from various claims and systems as per the standards of HIPPA. In this project, the provider file is expanded from 9 to 10 bytes.
The system is divided into various subsystems as Claims daily, weekly, Financial and Integration. Formerly the system used to identify the Medical id as the Primary 1. Now that it is converted to NPI Provider, all the claims would be identified through the NPI number. Front end web applications are coded using HTML and JAVA SCRIPT.

The main aim of the project was to define the High-level requirements for migrating CitiFinancial Auto partners/Aggregators to an Enterprise service Bus pipeline. Accordingly the project was divided into different modules like Gateway, Router, Prevalidator, Pipeline, Sender and JT/400 Adaptor.
In the project, the legacy pipeline and the advanced pipeline APL were the tool sets used to transmit message data ie Loan Application, Contract image payment notification and Decisions from Aggregators/Partners ie CarMax, Genpact, Dealer Track etc and both the pipeline required our intensive code enhancements to keep up with business and technology requirements.

In Additional, Limited monitoring or management tools exit in the APL and we had migrated CITI bank s aggregators to an ESB Enterprise Service Bus. ie TIBCO. This allowed CITI to establish a scale message platform that had supported SOA.
