The Project : Senior Plan Finder Project

This project ensures the Online enrollments in the Health Care or Insurance business. This application enables the members and agents to enroll through the online system. WellPoint does not have an online enrollment process for Medicare Advantage PFFS products. Today, the applications are completed on paper and processed manually. This project facilitates the online enrollment based on the business rules, processes the data and loads the enrollee details in the databases. It plays a major role in the growth of the Senior line of business market. This project has an interface from the Web based Java program to the Mainframe system.

Responsibilities :
Analyzed business requirements and performed Technical design.

Analyzed business and system requirements, impact analysis on existing systems, to develop systems specifications.

The project is a major enhancement to the membership reporting section of the SSB application. This is a health care application primarily for Government sponsored programs. In the current business situation there are history data missing in the interfacing feeds for an individual. This project ensures that the history data is pulled from IMS databases and send to the corresponding Interfacing application for membership reporting. The project was performed with an Offshore-Onshore model.

Responsibilities :

Prepared flowcharting of the logical flow of the requirements and technical design in Microsoft Visio

The application feeds to various applications so that the data Integrity is maintained with applications in the Warehouse. It creates a lot of reports for users in the product distribution center and regional distribution center. The project was performed with an Offshore-Onshore model.

Responsibilities :
Analyzed system requirements and performed Technical design along with test plans creation that would verify the functionality aspects of the application.

Provided management with metrics, reports and schedules as necessary and participated in the design walkthroughs and meetings

Based on previous companies experience introduced the creation of Project testing Strategy for major enhancements and developments.

The application does not have a database and has Master TAPE File. The application received feeds from various application and sends feeds to General ledger and Tax Applications.

Responsibilities :
Development of code and testing for Functional requirements provided by Technology Lead

Design of minor enhancements.

Analysis of Problem Notices and Abends, primarily post release defects. Usage of Clear Quest as the tool for tracking change request.

Assisted project teams in the implementation of QA Standards, Guidelines, Standards
