Senior SAP Technical Analyst

Developed interfaces, programs and reports to facilitate auto-billing of hopper cars x number of days after reaching the customer consignment track. Created custom ABAP Object classes and utilized SAP BAPI programs, ALV screens and external Railtrac system data to deliver the required functionality. The resulting process eliminated excessive work by customer service personnel and business analysts to determine when hopper cars could be billed and reduced the amount of time to receive payments from customers.
Developed Bi-directional IDOC interface to automate tank truck filling operation eliminating need for full time attendant. Delivery used to trigger outbound IDOC to external system to provide authorization to filling station. Received inbound IDOC to update actual filling quantity on delivery.
Developed interface to EH and S ProSteward system for auto-faxing of MSDS documents to customers from SAP system. Utilized delivery user-exit to output document to ProSteward system. Improved efficiency and reduced errors which resulted from customer service personnel having to use 2 systems for faxing of MSDS documents.
Worked on project team to migrate external logistics freight payable system to use standard SAP R/3 functionality via interfaces and user-exit enhancements eliminating the cost to maintain external system. Business team did presentation of this process at SAP TechED.

Developed customer quality specification interface utilizing BAPI programming to add, change and delete quality specifications. Replaced older problematic BDC programs eliminating excessive work by business analysts, functional analysts, customer support reps and SAP technical resources to identify and correct errors.
Maintained and improved complex IDOC interfaces developed by Aspentech for external production forecasting and planning system. Standardized IDOC models across product lines to simplify maintenance and enhancement requests. Developed UNIX shell scripts to trigger downloads on external system to eliminate download problems resulting from network interruptions prior to download.
Enhanced IXOS Opentext programs to check for duplicate invoices prior to posting/parking stage and record entries in the Incoming Invoice Ledger IIL in SAP to assist with locating unprocessed invoices. Modified programs to update IIL in real-time rather than waiting for nightly batch job.

Developed interface for external employee procurement card system and developed load procedure to pre-edit and map header and multiple detail records used for standard GL load program. Utilized LSMW to parse and map the data and automated as LSWM batch job.

Minimized manual input to the Dollar Value LIFO process. Created 3 complex SAP FI data extract programs in order to meet the requirements.

Consolidated financial reports for year-end processing to reflect true use of GLPCT values for AR and AP accounts as year-end adjustment reporting programs resulted in duplication of values.
