DCS 2000 consisted primarily of mail sorters, document scanners, Optical Character and Optical Mark Recognition OCR and OMR units, workstations and servers running in a Windows NT/Oracle based environment. Technologies used in this system are Imaging, Optical Character Recognition, Optical Mark Recognition, Key from Image and Key from Paper. My job involved
Keeping track of batches which were collections of scanned returned mail at each stage
Ensuring that data from these mails is transferred to the servers and processed properly.
Writing SQL Plus scripts, PL/SQL procedures and generating reports using Reports2.5.

Used Oracle 8.0 alongside with workflow/monitoring tools like Staffware, Formware and Cluster Load Manager to track and free up running/locked jobs, finding workaround known bugs and help operators to continue, troubleshoot problems and report work in progress to management.
