Description : It is a Canada based Communications and High Technology project which involves Functional Requirement analysis, Scenarios and Conditions creation, Scripting and actual execution of the scripts, raising critical defects. It involves Sanity Testing, Product testing both Progression and regression using various GUI applications and legacy systems for products POTS, SL Derived voice on Copper, fibre and ETTS path, services and products like Call Forward Fixed CO, Calling Card, Call Intercept, Dialup and Other Internet, Equipment and Prepaid Cards, Home Sitter, IP Gaming, TELUS Digital Phone, TELUS TTV Satellite TV, HDTV- High Definition TV, SDTV- Standard TV, Toll Only Long Distance, High Speed Internet ADSL.
Defect Management tool Mercury Quality Center 9.1 and Requirement Management tool Caliber RM is used.
Job Responsibility : My role as a test engineer in TELUS involves Product Test Planning and Execution Sanity testing, Functional Testing, Regression testing, System Testing, for TELUS- Imagine platform.
Product Test Planning would involve understanding business and functional requirements, analysing them and creating scenarios and conditions for the same. In addition, it involves creation of test scripts and following the review process with review leads and business system analysts at client-site.
Test execution requires understanding the role of various subsystems and applications and interaction among them. In addition, understanding the environment under which the test scripts are executed and the necessary data requirements are equally important.
We are working on Test Management tool Mercury Quality Center 9.1 and Requirements Management tool CaliberRM.
