Software Engineer

Provided Level 2 support to IBM iSeries customers. Was responsible for the trouble calls from the time of creation to conclusion and worked closely with development teams all over the world to assist in problem resolution. Created PTF requests and wrote many knowledge base documents with public access and was intended for internal access. Was assigned to 2 different support groups due to my previous experience. Supported SSL, Single-Signon, LDAP, HTTP Apache, Sockets, SMTP, DNS, Cryptographic Coprocessor and also System Cryptographic encryption of data. Worked the Languages and Utilities support queue and was responsible for the same level of customer satisfaction supporting Websphere, Rational Application Developer for the iSeries 7.5, RPGILE, CBLILE, ILEC, National Language Support, ANZOBJCNV and all issues related to it. Supported Websphere in the test environment and HATS web based legacy program conversion.
I was subject matter expert for Apache HTTP and the new Websphere Based HTTP Administrator Server
Recognized in the support center in TCP, CTA and EWS queues.
Subject matter expert for Cryptographic Coprocessor.
Subject matter expert for the Tomcat application server.

Senior System Analyst

Had overall responsibility for 10 networked iSeries. This was a 24 x 7 x 365 day shop which had call centers in Bombay and West Des Moines. Additional duties included overseeing the consolidation of all system into 1 multi-partition system and being the Webmaster for our Sun, Aix and Linux boxes .I used iPlanet to manage Sun HTTP and used Apache on iSeries and Linux. Oversaw the removal of multiple DVD jukeboxes and replaced them with 1 EMC Synergy SAN My Was also the Performance Tools, Spoolmaster, Tivoli, Magellen, EMC Symmetric, IBM Robot Tape subsystem and all User Security functions.
