Glaxo Smith Kline - While on assignment at Glaxo Smith Kline in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, served as the business process lead for the California Serialization project. In doing, developed a plan/tools for addressing the many business process or change management concerns associated with the project, et cetera.

USAA -

While on assignment at USAA in San Antonio, Texas, planned/managed and served as the process improvement subject matter expert on, a project scoped to reduce error-related costs associated with 1st Mortgage product origination, processing and closing. Via this project, identified the means to lower error-related costs by $1425000 per year. In addition, did program planning and process mapping/improvement work in the area of fraud prevention.

SAIC -
While on assignment at SAIC in Houston, Texas, planned/estimated and wrote proposals/contracts for various technology projects at British Petroleum ; and, then, managed these projects, if/when they were approved. Also, 1 served as a business/functional requirements analyst on some of these projects, 2 did some process improvement work/consulting involving project management processes and business continuation or disaster recovery and 3 designed, led and a played a large role in performing client/vendor software/system evaluations.

Dell - While on assignment at Dell in Austin, Texas, served as a portfolio manager for several suites of systems/projects in the Global Manufacturing Systems IT space. In doing, aided in the design of and instituted best practices for portfolio management, investigated/evaluated the capabilities/usage of certain systems, created effort/timeline estimates for potential projects, coordinated international requirements/development/testing efforts, et cetera.

JPMC -

While on assignment at JPMC in Columbus, Ohio, served as the lone technical project manager on the Image Exchange effort which involved as many as 9 subprojects. In doing, saved JPMC in excess of $1 million dollars, enhanced certain testing/software quality and created/maintained the first project plan or status reporting that provided management with a clear picture of the diverse Image Exchange effort. Later, reassigned to support merger/migration projects involving statement redesign/archiving/access and the conclusion of a paperless statements project.

Verizon - While on assignment at Verizon in Tampa, Florida, instituted professional project management of a troubled invoicing/inventory/financial systems project. In doing, facilitated the development of a 1000 plus line project plan, implemented issues management techniques, aided in the design of a much-needed change control process and designed/implemented sophisticated Incident Report bug metrics which helped reduce the overall open Incident level by over 75%.

CSX World Terminals - While on assignment at CSX World Terminals in Hong Kong began project management of a 20 - person onsite contract software development team. The software was for the operation of a shipping port in Caucedo, Dominican Republic. The assignment ended prematurely when the project was contracted to a competing vendor.

Harcourt Assessments - While on assignment at Harcourt Assessments in San Antonio, Texas, spearheaded/coordinated the evaluation/implementation of VPMi and related policies/procedures for IT 1 program/project management and 2 service request and program/project governance portfolio management.

USAA -

While on assignment at USAA in San Antonio, Texas, managed projects involving 1 the purchase of a new $6 million dollar per year priority mail and small package shipping services contract, 2 the purchase/installation of upgraded printing equipment, 3 the redesign of the printing, inserting, sorting, et cetera operation, 4 data migration and records management for 40 million documents and 5 company website infrastructure enhancement. In doing, realized USAA at least an estimated additional $1 million dollars in cost savings.

Quintiles - While on assignment at Quintiles in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, project planned/managed the development/implementation of a new, multi-location inventory tracking system to be provided by a third party vendor. The existing system was specific to each particular location and was not in use across all applicable units.

Viewpointe Archive Services - While on assignment at Viewpointe Archive Services in Houston, Texas, managed the testing, de-bugging, implementation and post-implementation evaluation phases of an electronic check image exchange project which was evolutionary for the banking industry. As the central project manager on this inter-company effort, planned/coordinated the efforts of Viewpointe, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, Cognizant, Channel Dynamix and IBM.

Homecomings Financial - While on a stay-busy assignment at Homecomings Financial in Dallas, Texas, managed a Home Equity Second Mortgage financing products introduction project and related efforts involving 3 separate companies.

Verizon Wireless - While on a director-level consulting assignment at Verizon Wireless, Great Lakes Region in Columbus, Ohio, improved the program management of a large systems consolidation by developing/instituting weekly status reporting, issues management and high-level project planning.

State Farm Insurance - While on assignment at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington, Illinois, managed a large financial systems fit/gap analysis effort.

London, England : Developed/launched/ran the IT Int l Issues Management Program. Program managed the successful completion of projects like Int l Frame Relay Plus, UK Schools Internet, UK National Rate, UK 999DB backup, Sweden new switch, Sweden Switchless Reseller, Sweden Call Through, Sweden Tier 2 C7 Interconnect, Sweden int l dialing prefix change, Sweden billing issues, Ireland IATM and Italy ATM/FR/BL/DV above E1. Also, program managed projects like UK National Code and Number Change NCNC and Sweden Carrier Pre-Select CPS.
Tulsa, Oklahoma : Project managed a large-scale call records enhancement project. Served as IS and IS, Wholesale project manager for the Local Number Portability LNP effort. In doing, prevented a major corporate misstep regarding LNP billing. In a separate instance, prevented a major corporate misstep regarding universal service billing. Played a critical role in managing an 8XX, ANI, Authorization Code and Account Code provisioning benchmark/analysis project requested by the IS vice-president. Project managed two-thirds of a complicated conversion for Canada-to-US 8XX call carriage that saved the company an estimated $300000 per month. Co-led a high-priority effort toward improving, re-architectural solutions, provisioning and call record processing for commercial accounts via previously wholesale-only systems. Project managed EMI Bellcore formatted customer call record new product development. Served as IS Ameritech a major customer program manager and handled related issues. Later, served as IS point-of-contact to GTI the largest Wholesale customer.

Systems involved included call processing, call billing and fee payment and services involved included calling card, personal 8XX and payphone long distance. Also, administrated/coordinated various telecommunications infrastructure projects and served as a product-oriented program manager on the Avantel Mexico long distance project.

In doing, orchestrated the efforts of the Research and Development, Porting, Integration, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Documentation, Training, Marketing, Sales and Sales Support, Application Engineering, Order Administration, Management Information Systems and Systems/Network Support workgroups ; served as a liaison to key hardware/software vendors, international divisions and senior management ; helped reduce software bug levels by sixty-seven percent ; and, for the first time in the IC computer chip design software industry, released software on-time as-originally-scheduled. Also, coordinated other software development efforts and initiated improvements to the company s project planning, control and communication tools.
